Abstract

Fields are the union of individuals sands grouped on, or related to, the same general geologic structural feature and/or stratigraphic trapping condition. There may be two or more reservoirs in a field that are separated vertially by intervening impervious strata, or laterally by local geologic barriers, or by both. Fields can cover multiple blocks and leases and so will occasionally need to be part of a unit.

Purpose

Analysis for oil and gas exploration and production in the Gulf of Mexico.
