Description

Abstract

Paleontologic Information and Data includes publicly releasable biostratigraphic and paleobathymetric summary information on active and expired fields and leases in the Gulf of America. Paleo data is released ten years after the total depth date of the well or when a lease is relinquished. In GOM3, paleo observations are recorded down the borehole, convering the measured depth of each observation to true vertical depth and mapping the proper longitude and latitude. Each point is mapped in 2D and 3D. Paleo data is updated monthly.

Purpose

Analysis for oil and gas exploration and production in the Gulf of Mexico.
